Lightspeed Restaurant (O-Series): Some older network printers not printing on iOS POS 3.16.0
We are aware that some venues have reported printing problems after the Lightspeed Restaurant iOS POS app updated to version 3.16.0. Two separate situations are involved, and they look different on screen. Bluetooth printers Where one Bluetooth printer is set up to print more than one docket, for example a coffee docket and a kitchen docket, the first docket prints and a second may show a "printer busy" message instead of printing. We can correct this remotely. No app update, no change to your printer setup and no action from you is required. Certain older network printers A small number of venues have reported a network receipt or kitchen printer that has stopped printing altogether. Other printers at the same venue may continue to print normally. Support can restore printing for these venues, also with no change to your printer setup. In both cases Taking orders and processing payments continue to work normally, and no sales data is lost. We recognise that a docket not printing still disrupts service, and restoring these venues is our priority. What we are doing We are contacting venues we believe may be affected and applying the remote correction where it applies. Our engineering team is investigating both situations and working on a permanent fix for a future release. If printing is not working at your venue Please contact Support with your venue details and which printer is affected. We would ask you to get in touch rather than removing or re-adding the printer in your settings, as that can make it harder for us to restore. You can check your app version and Device Support ID in the iPad's Settings, under Apps → Restaurant
