What changed

09 updates
  1. Maintenance Scheduled

`Our Telephony Engineers will perform maintenance on our Programmable Voice services in the Europe/US region. This maintenance should not disrupt service.`

  2. Maintenance Scheduled

The Wireless team will be applying configuration updates to Network Functions on the US East site. The work includes UPF configuration changes requiring restarts, timer parameter updates, and logging configuration enablement. There will be rolling restarts of some components, which have the potential to cause disruption to active data sessions. These disruptions are not expected to last more than 5 minutes. This would affect users connected in North, Central and South America as well as the Caribbean.

  3. Maintenance Scheduled

The Wireless team will be performing a planned test of our network signalling redundancy. During this window, we will be deliberately failing over our core subscriber database and messaging systems to their geo-redundant counterparts. Active data sessions and in-progress calls will not be affected. However, customers may experience: - New device registrations (network attaches) may fail or be delayed for a brief period - SMS messages may be delayed or fail to deliver during the switchover - New roaming registrations may be rejected during the switchover - New voice call setups over IMS may fail briefly during the switchover Each disruption is not expected to last more than 10 minutes. If failover does not complete as expected, we will revert to the primary system. This maintenance affects all regions.

  4. Maintenance Scheduled

This is the maintence that was originally sceduled for Sep. 15th. It has been postponed to the 18th.

  5. Investigating

We are currently investigating reports of encoding issues affecting a subset of outbound SMS messages to T-Mobile. End users may be receiving messages with garbled or unreadable text. We are actively investigating with our downstream partner and will provide an update as soon as we have more information.

  6. Maintenance Scheduled

This maintenance has been rescheduled from September 18th to September 21st (06:00-09:00 UTC). The scope of work is unchanged.

  7. Maintenance Scheduled

We will be doing a maintenance on wireguard server in the Ashburn (DC2) region. No IP addresses will be changed, so impact should be limited to client re-handshake with the server. No customer action required.

  8. Monitoring

Our downstream partner has deployed a fix for garbled message bodies on 10DLC SMS to T-Mobile destinations. The issue impacted 10DLC senders assigned to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt campaigns predominantly. Test messages to T-Mobile destinations are now delivering intact.

  9. Maintenance Scheduled

The Wireless team will be performing a UDSF (Unified Data Storage Function) software version rollback across all three sites (Chicago, Ashburn, and Sydney). This is a precautionary alignment to a Mavenir-supported version. The UDSF pods will restart during the maintenance window. No customer impact is expected. The maintenance is not expected to last more than 2 hours.
